Letters: Let a handshake start the revolution

Staff Writer
The Apalach Times

A lot of people think President Trump is either a saint or the Antichrist, no in-between. You have to agree, however, he has exposed a government that is not of the people, by the people, nor for the people. It is, however, a government of the selected, by the few, and for themselves.

We need to remind our elected officials of their duty to defend the U.S. Constitution. It's up to the people to reduce the size and power of national, state and local governments. The people are "the fourth branch of government.” We need to exercise our voices and our right to be free and educated citizens. We are not their "subjects," to do with as they please.

Whoever thought that going to the beach, shaking hands, hugging someone in public or opening a business would be a revolutionary act? So, our time has arrived; let the Revolution begin with a handshake and a hug.
