Bobby Buck Kirvin was born Sept.8, 1937 in Apalachicola. He passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family, at the age of 82.
Bobby was a lifelong resident of Apalachicola. He worked as a seafood dealer prior to his retirement. Generous and tough, he loved his family, and was most happy on the bay fishing (alone!). He can be heard saying. “If you’re NOT third generation...leave Now!”
Bobby served in the US National Guard.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Libby” Kirvin; children, Stacy Kirvin and wife, Elizabeth, Daphne Davis and husband, Richard, and Ward Kirvin and wife, Christey; sisters, Susan Ogburn and Lucretia Biddle; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; longtime friend, Quentin Creamer; numerous nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Modell Kirvin; and sister, Jeanette Kirvin.
In lieu of flowers and/or food, please make donations to Big Bend Hospice. The family graciously asks that no food be brought to the residence.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning, July 11 graveside at Magnolia Cemetery.
