Sink honored for service to Rotary
District Governor Innes Richards attended Apalachicola Rotary on Sept. 24, 2019. Mrs. Richards attended the luncheon meeting to present Rotarian John Sink, above, with a framed recognition of his 50 years in Rotary service.
The Rev. Dr. John Sink is a retired senior pastor of Atlanta’s oldest Methodist church, Sardis Methodist Church. He served 30 years in the US Navy and was chancellor at Penn State University’s Fayette Campus. Sink served as a Rotary past president. He has served on numerous boards throughout the Panhandle and was pastoral care director of Weems Memorial Hospital.
Richards, whose District 6940 covers clubs across the Panhandle to the Gainesville area, also presented Club President Cliff Butler, at far right, with a recognition award of the local club’s 75th year as an established club.
