Help seniors combat loneliness and isolation
The Elder Care Community Council of Franklin County is asking for your assistance to combat the loneliness and isolation of older adults in our community.
Social contacts steadily decrease with age and the effects of isolation can be devastating. Restricted access to community resources during the pandemic has further amplified isolation and continues to adversely impact older adults.
ECCC volunteers have been delivering hot lunches to homebound seniors and for the holidays, we would like to add a small holiday plant or gift to bring smiles and holiday cheer that can be enjoyed throughout the season.
Your generosity will not only brighten the lives of isolated older adults, but your donation will also support our efforts to bridge the gaps in services for those over age 55 living in Franklin County.
You can contribute to our efforts by going to our website www.ecccfrankin.org and clicking on donate with your credit card, or by mailing a check to ECCC, PO Box 335, Eastpoint, FL 32328. #GivingTuesday is Dec. 1 and that is our target date, but you can contribute anytime starting now. You can make your donation in honor of a loved one, as a way to honor them in this time where we are not able to gather in the ways we have previously; just let us know and we will honor your loved one with a thank you note.
We are grateful for all who nurture ECCC and the elders in our community. A gift of any size is deeply appreciated and will help us sustain the work we have begun. If you've already made a gift, thank you for your kind generosity.
