Joan Lee Houseman, of Eastpoint, passed into the loving arms of our heavenly father on Friday, Feb. 28, 2020 at 10:40 a.m.

Joan was born on June 6 in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. She was one five children and the only girl born to Leon and Eugenia Dearolf.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Milton Houseman, Sr.; her parents and three brothers, Leon "Bud," James "Jim," and Paul.

Joan is survived by her brother William "Bill" (Judy); sons, Stacy Sutton (Penny), and Milton Houseman, Jr. (Cyndi); daughters, Melanie Miller (Ted), Suzanne Salley (David), and Dianne Duncan (Pap), nine grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one on the way.

Joan worked at the City of Apalachicola as a deputy clerk where she met Milton. She loved all sports and was an avid gas-sniffing, tire-burning, winner’s circle, Nascar fan. She was loved dearly and will be missed by much family and many friends.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, March 2 at Kelley Funeral Home with burial next to her beloved husband, Milton, in Magnolia Cemetery. Viewing was held one hour prior to services.
