James W. “JD” Dillard, 64, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020 at his home in Carrabelle.


He was born Sept. 13, 1955 to the late Frieda J. Burgan and Bill W. Dean, in St. Louis, Missouri.


He is survived by his wife, Nancy Dillard; two sons, Joshua Dillard of Barnhart, Missouri, and Jessie Briesacher, of St. Louis, Missouri; two stepchildren, Mike Jennings (Mindy) of Warrenton, Missouri, and Trisha May, of Montgomery, Missouri; two sisters, Cindy Vandament (Steve), of Fenton, Missouri, and Christy DeWade, of Alberta, Canada; one brother, Craig Dillard (Debbie) of Kansas City, Missouri; three grandsons and four granddaughters; and many friends and family.


He was preceded in death by one son, Jeremy Briesacher, St. Louis, Missouri, his father and mother; and stepfather Clarence DeWade.


He loved to work and was a very hardworking men, and well-known to the community. He loved fishing, riding his trike and spending time with his friends and family.


There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Kelley Funeral Home is assisting the family with all arrangements.
