A memorial service will be held Saturday morning, Dec. 14 at Trinity Episcopal Church.

A memorial service for Clarence Dewitt (Bud) Galloway will be held Saturday, Dec. 14 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, Apalachicola, with a reception immediately following.


Dewitt passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, at home in Apalachicola at age 79.


Dewitt was born in Apalachicola on Dec. 9, 1939. He graduated Chapman High School in 1957 and Troy State College in 1961. He was a Franklin County educator from 1963 until 1995.


He was preceded in death by his parents Irma and Clarence Galloway.


He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Susan McEntyre Galloway; his daughter Deidra Stange (Mike), and son Brantley Galloway (Amanda); three grandchildren, Mary-Cole Stange, Harrison Stange, and June Galloway; and his brother Charles Galloway (Brenda).
