Dr. John P. “Jack” Dodds, 88, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Jack Brynes Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019.

He was born in Glenwood, Iowa in 1931 and raised in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Jack practiced at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover, New Hampshire as a member of the Hitchcock Clinic from 1964 to1989.

The next 29 years of his life brought him to Franklin County, where he founded Green Point Construction and spent his time building the company. He was generous with donating his work and time to such organizations as Habitat for Humanity and the Humane Society. His spare time would find him on the golf course as he was an avid player.

Jack was married to Gayle Sittason and between them they had four boys and their wives; 12 grandchildren, and two great -grandchildren who were a source of pride to him.

Jack and Gayle returned home to Hanover, New Hampshire and their family in 2017. Jack was an exceptional, multifaceted man with quick wit and dry sense of humor. If you wish to send a donation in his name, please consider the Humane Society of Franklin County.
