Sharon Millender Kelley, 69, died unexpectedly, on Monday, Sept. 16, 2019, in Clarksville, Tennessee.
She is a native of Eastpoint, and was residing in Carrabelle.
Mrs. Kelley was born on Oct. 16, 1949, in Apalachicola, to the late HenryElla and Odis Millender. She was a devout Christian with a strong faith in the Lord. She loved to cook and in her younger days owned a small restaurant. It was nothing for others to ask her about the ingredients in her recipes. She taught her children how to cook and enjoyed entertaining family and friends with her delicious meals. Family was an extremely important part of her life, and she loved her family very deeply. She had a way of making all feel welcomed and loved.
On May 31, 1969, she married her loving and devoted husband, James C. Kelley, from Louisiana. Her husband was in the military and together they raised three sons and one daughter. Living a military life allowed she and her family to tour and live in other countries. This year, she and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She loved nothing more than loving her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister JoAnn Millender, brother, Eulice Millender, and two sons, Troy and Matthew Kelley.
She is survived by her husband, James C. Kelley, one son, Robert Kelley and wife
Angie, of Clarksville, Tennessee; one daughter, Aleatha Thrush, of Columbus, Georgia, and one sister, Glenda Hatfield, of Tallahassee, She is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Mindy Gates, Courtney Kelley Liske, and Brandon Kelley, of Lakeland, Morgan, Hunter, and Marci Kelley, of Carrabelle, Lauren Hall, of Opelika, Alabama, Gregory, Trevor, and Dalton Roberts and Kyra Kelley, of Clarksville, Tennessee, Michael and Kathleen Jenkins of Columbus, Georgia; eight great - grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Kelley maintained her faith in the Lord and desired to see all of her loved ones saved. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019 at Deliverance Tabernacle with Bro. Ron Barks and Bro. Larry Millender presiding. She was laid to eternal rest in Eastpoint Cemetery.
