Margaret Louise Wilson, of Apalachicola, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 after a long battle of illness. She fought hard and her faith remained strong.

Born Dec. 31, 1925, she was a loving mother and grandmother; she loved sitting on her front porch enjoying nature and always smiling and waving at anyone who passed by. Her most favorite thing to do was go shopping, she loved shopping, and so she did ‘til she couldn't no more. The First Baptist Church on Ninth Street in Apalachicola was her home church; she loved her church and her family there.

She and her husband owned an oyster house for several years.

She was preceded in death by husband Farrel Wilson; father Columbus Adolf Smith; mother Hattie Brown Smith; daughter Peggy Wilson Larkin; sisters Preshia Crum and Essie Mae Martin; and granddaughter Tammy Walker.

She is survived by her son David F. Wilson; her daughters Hattie Sue Wilson, Joyce Walker, and Virginia Taylor; sister Billie Avery; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be loved and missed by all who knew her and were close to her. Remaining in our hearts but never forgotten.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 5 at First Baptist Church, followed by a graveside service at Magnolia Cemetery. Viewing began at 10 a.m. for all family and friends.
