A two-car accident last week on the eastern end of the county, just south of the Ochlocknee River, sent four people to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the collision between two sports utility vehicles occurred about 3:02 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, near the intersection of U.S. 319 and McIntyre Road.

Garrett Myers, 18, or Carrabelle, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet SUV, with passenger Cierra Delvalle, 19, of Carrabelle. Austin Murdaugh, 22, of Tallahassee, was driving a 2015 Toyota SUV, with passenger Kayla Barry, 19, of Tallahassee.

Details on what took place were not available from FHP, but from photos taken on the scene, it appears at least one of the vehicles overturned as a result of the collision.

The St. James Lanark Volunteer Fire Department and Weems Memorial Hospital ambulance responded to the accident.
