A 38-year-old Crawfordville man suffered serious injuries Monday evening when he was thrown from his motorcycle as he rounded a curve on U.S. 98 west of Lake Morality Road.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, John Robison was driving his 2006 Suzuki Boulevard at 7:23 p.m. eastbound on US-98 and when he failed to negotiate a left hand curve, and exited the roadway onto the eastbound shoulder. After losing control and starting to overturn, Robison, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle.

With the assistance of the sheriff’s office, Weems Memorial Hospital ambulance and the St. James-Lanark Volunteer Fire Department, Robison was taken to the landing zone in Lanark Village and flown by helicopter to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
