The Franklin County High School girls basketball team breezed to two easy wins this week.

On Friday night at home, Tydron Wynn’s Lady Seahawks dominated the Liberty County Lady Bulldogs 57-29, as three players, freshmen Amani Jones and Jahneese Brathwaite, and junior Honesti Williams, were all in double digits. Jones scored 12, Brathwaite 11 and Williams 10.

Junior Hannah Sweet added nine, sophomore Jamela Ray four, sophomores Kiani Allen and Haley Miller, each three, senior Melanie Collins two, and freshman Genesis Jones one.

Wynn’s squad built up a 26-18 lead at the half, and then outscored the Lady Bulldogs 20-4 in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.

On Tuesday at home, the team won 47-13 over Altha, upping their record to 12-6 and 7-1 in the district.

The girls played Wednesday at Arnold and head to Port St. Joe Friday for a game against the Lady Tiger Sharks.
