Please be sure to check out a brand new film “Throwback Holiday” during this holiday season, on BET, because an accomplished musician from Apalachicola had a deft hand in composing some of the music and songs for this film.

Mario Pugh, son of James and Alma Pugh, of Apalachicola, worked on the music for “Throwback Holiday,” a family-friendly Christmas film that will premier this Saturday evening, Dec. 15 on the BET Network.

The film starts Jennifer Freeman and Robert Ri’chard and is directed by Trey Haley.

Pugh, a graduate of Apalachicola High School, graduated summa cum laude in 2010 from Bethune Cookman University with a bachelors in music technology. He is music director at Life Center Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia.

The BET schedule indicates That “Throwback Holiday” will be shown at 8 p.m. Saturday on both BET and BET Her, and then will be on BET Her on Sunday, Dec. 16 and Monday, Dec. 17 at 3 p.m., and on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 11 a.m. Please be sure to consult your local listings to confirm all times.
