Grady Lowe, 83, of Apalachicola went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 1, 2017 in Panama City.

A resident of Apalachicola, Grady was born in DeFuniak Springs. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He proudly served in the US Army. He was a member of the Apalachicola Masonic Lodge No. 76. He served as city commissioner of Apalachicola. A retired businessman, he was former owner of The Grill Restaurant and Bon Ton Cleaners in Apalachicola.

He is survived by a family that he loved dearly, his wife of 39 years, Rose Mayson Lowe; daughters Sandra Husband (Jack,) of Wewahitchka, Sheila Lolley (Johnny) of Apalachicola, Christy Stokes (Chris) of Apalachicola, Selena Noblit of Marianna, Erika Bartley of Apalachicola, and a stepson who was always like a son, Jim Tomlin (Cindy) of Apalachicola; grandchildren Jackie Husband (Christy), Judith Husband, Jessica Husband, all of Wewahitchka; Hayden Furr and Holly Furr of Apalachicola; Brooke Moore of Forest Grove, Oregon, and Kamryn Noblit of Panama City; great-grandchildren Wyatt, Kate and Garrett, all of Wewahitchka; sisters Jean Collinsworth (Alto) of Havana, Earlene Johns, Dorenda Curry and Mildred Williamson, all of DeFuniak Springs; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Grady was preceded in death by his parents Jenkins and Penny Lowe, brothers, John Frank Lowe and Tommy Lowe, and sister Helen Woodall and his precious 17-year-old Yorkie, Shelby.

Visitation for the family was held on Thursday, May 4 at 11 a.m.; the family received visitors from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Services followed at 1 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church. Interment followed at Magnolia Cemetery.
