The Carrabelle Chamber of Commerce is excited to host the family-friendly Holiday on the Harbor including the Boat Parade of Lights on Saturday, Dec. 10 from noon to 9 p.m. in downtown Carrabelle.

Admission is free to this year’s event, which will again include a Street Festival featuring visits with Santa, children’s activities including bouncy houses, holiday treats, vendors with delicious food and wonderful products for holiday gifts, and live music and entertainment.

During the day, most activities will be centered on Marine Street and down Avenue B. Expanded celebrations will also take place at locations downtown. Live music and family-friendly, art making opportunities will be available at Rio Carrabelle. Also, downtown shops will be open during the day with holiday specials, several joining in the fun with Santa visits and festive goodies.

This year’s entertainment line up features bands Hwy 3:16, Low Country Boyle and more on the festival stage. Christmas music and carols by The Reflections singer Tony Partington will be enjoyed in the afternoon outside Rio Carrabelle. Singer Debi Jordan will be decking the halls at C-Quarters during the evening.

After an afternoon of food and fun be sure to stay for the fanfare of the magical Boat Parade of Lights. Boats are lighted and decorated especially for the holidays and many go to elaborate lengths in honor of this season. This amazing sight, which begins around 6:15 pm, is a coastal holiday tradition not to be missed.

The Boat Parade of Lights will float, putt, and paddle through the Carrabelle Harbor and can be viewed from many spots along Marine Street, Hwy 98 and Timber Island. The parade is capped off by amazing fireworks from the Carrabelle CRA. Afterwards the boat parade trophies will be presented at the awards ceremony at C-Quarters Marina.
