Author Dorothy Inman-Johnson appeared at the March 2 ApalachicolaBay Chamber of Commerce luncheon to talk about her latest book “Lessons from America’s Best and WorstCities.”

Inman-Johnson, formerly executive director of the Capital Area Community Action Agency, frequently visits FranklinCounty. She told chamber members at the monthly gathering, held at the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve, that Apalachicola is featured in chapter eight of her new book, “Some of My Favorite Places.”

Inman-Johnson said in researching her book, which deals with cities that appear in various lists in national publications and their attributes, she was surprised to learn that a majority of the cities chosen as livable are in the Midwest or western US.  - By LOIS SWOBODA
