Oliver Nash, 82, of Apalachicola, passed away early Monday morning, May 27, 2013 at his home.

A lifelong resident of Apalachicola, Mr. Nash served three terms in the Florida House of Representatives, at that time the youngest person ever elected to that post. He also served as constable, also the youngest person to have served. He owned a seafood business and worked for St. Joe Paper Company, retiring from that job.

Survivors include his wife Geraldine Nash, of Apalachicola; a son, Stephen Nash, of Apalachicola, and a son, Wayne Nash and wife Casey, of Eastpoint; two daughters, Suzanne Osburn and husband Robert, and Debra Moses and husband Mark; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, all of Apalachicola; and his sister Ardelle Harper ,of White City.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, at Brownsville Assembly of God Church, conducted by the Rev. Geraldine Wilson. Interment will follow in the family plot in Magnolia Cemetery.
