Healthy Startís baby shower today

Healthy Startís fifth annual Baby Shower will be at 4 p.m. ET Thursday, May 23 in the Centennial Building, 300 Allen Memorial Way in Port St. Joe.

Admission is free, with plenty of food, fun, games and lots of door prizes. All Franklin and Gulf County pregnant women, new parents who have had a baby within the last six months, and their entire families are invited to join us. There will be information stations on various topics such as car seat safety, shaken baby, birth control, safe sleep, community resources and lots of door prizes.

Big Bend Hospice fish fry Friday

Big Bend Hospice Franklin County Advisory Council will have a fish fry at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 24 at Riverfront Park in Apalachicola.

Tickets are $7 per plate, with all proceeds going to benefit Franklin County patients and families of Big Bend Hospice.

Moses-Gray family reunion Saturday

Family and friends: The Moses-Gray family reunion will be held Saturday, May 25 from 10 to 3 p.m. in the Eastpoint Fire Station. Itís a covered dish dinner. We hope to see you there!


Fellowship Baptist plans June 1 yard sale

Fellowship Baptist Church of Carrabelle dedicated the month of May to Missions. Fellowship, on a monthly basis, supports 14 different missions; these include home missions,, foreign missions, church planting, and prison ministries.

On Saturday June 1, Fellowship will sponsor a yard sale in the parking lot of Compass Law in the triangle area behind the Carrabelle Library on U.S. 98.  The sale will begin at 9 a.m. and will offer a wide variety of items including appliances, housewares, kitchen tools, and clothes.  All proceeds will go to Missions.  So,come and shop for real deals AND support outreach to missions the world over, as well as here at home.
