Womanless Beauty Pageant Cancelled

            The Womanless Beauty Pageant, originally scheduled for Saturday evening, Oct. 4, in the high school cafetorium, has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts. Organizers hope to reschedule the pageant for another date. Please watch for details.

Apalachicola Chamber Hosts Oct. 8 Golf Tourney

The 5th Annual Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament will be held Wednesday, Oct. 8.

Tee up with business members from around the Franklin, Gulf, Leon and Wakulla county areas at the annual tournament. Tee-time is 1 p.m. on the beautiful, new St. James Bay Golf Course in Lanark.

Cash prizes awarded for the top teams.  Scores will be totaled and prizes awarded at a reception following the tournament.  Tournament proceeds will go toward the Chamber's programs.

RV Resort Will Sponsor Shark Tourney Oct. 10

            The Carrabelle Beach RV Resort will sponsor a shark fishing tournament on Oct 10 to 12.

            The captains' meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 10 at the RV resort. The fishing times are from 8 p.m. on Friday through 3 p.m. on Sunday.

            Proceeds will go to Carrabelle Youth League and the Christian Bowhunters Association. Fee is $50 per person and participants can register at any time at front office at resort. First prize is $750, with payouts to five places.
