By Lois Swoboda
Times Staff Writer

At the July 1 meeting, Van Johnson, solid waste and recycling director, told the county commission that, working with Wesley Tice, director of the Franklin County health department, he had purchased $8,800 worth of outdoor exercise equipment using funds provided by the health department's Chronic Disease Program.
Equipment will be installed along the walking trails at Kendrick Park in Carrabelle, Vrooman Park in Eastpoint and D.W. Wilson Park in Apalachicola. Each trail will feature five fitness stations.
