Cheerleaders flock to flamingo FUNdraiser
Be on the lookout... The Franklin County Middle School Cheerleaders are doing a Flamingo Flocking FUNdraiser this summer.
The idea is to fill a person's yard with a flock and then, for a donation, the flock will be removed and sent on to another house the homeowner recommends. The idea is that the yard will look so hideous with the pink birds that the homeowner will be more than happy to give a donation toward the fundraiser to get them out of their yard and into the next person of their choice.
Where they will start? We do not know, but have your donations ready and a friend in mind that you want to FLOCK! A minimum donation of $10 is requested in order to pick the next victim. All donations are greatly appreciated and will go towards paying for the costs of cheerleading camp.
Both the Franklin County Middle School and Franklin County High School Cheerleaders will be attending Auburn University this year. Universal Cheer Association will be conducting the Auburn camp, where they will provide instruction in cheer, chants and extreme stunting. Cost of this camp is not cheap but the instruction is invaluable! It is the hopes of the coaches that a camp of this magnitude will make our squads competitive with other area squads.
The middle school cheerleaders have chosen this fundraiser because they believe it will not only be fun for them but for all those who are involved.
