DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Iowa Cubs scored eight unanswered runs to defeat the New Orleans Baby Cakes 10-8 Friday in the first game of a three-game series. 

The Baby Cakes built an 8-2 lead in the seventh inning following a grand-slam from Peter Mooney. 

The Cubs scored three in the seventh with back-to-back home runs and then strike for five runs in the eighth inning to complete the comeback. 

Iowa’s Rob Zastryzny worked two innings for the win, and New Orleans Jose Quijada took the loss with his second blown save of the season.
