Dylan Parsons' bases-loaded RBI single in the 10th inning helped lift Marist to a 3-2 win over Central in a Class 5A state baseball play-in game Thursday.

The victory sends the Spartans (13-14) to a first-round state playoff game Wednesday. The opponent will be announced when brackets are expected to be set this weekend.

Sonny Hiday pitched eight innings for host Marist, recording nine strikeouts and one earned run. Hunter Bloom pitched two innings with no runs.

Hiday also was 1-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs and Cooper Green was 2-for-2 in the victory.

Oakland 10, North Douglas 5; Oakland 13, North Douglas 0: Dawson Tolliver was 3-for-4 with a triple to lead the Oakers (17-9, 15-3) to the first of two wins against the Warriors (12-14, 9-9). In game two, Cameron Benzell and JP Redfield each had two hits for Oakland.

Reedsport 16, Waldport 1, 5 inns.: The Brave (23-0, 12-0) took down the Irish (2-17, 2-10).

Bandon 9, Siletz Valley 5, 8 inns.: The Tigers (13-7, 9-3) defeated the Warriors (11-6, 7-5).

Class 5A Play-In

Thurston 27, South Albany 1: Harmony Stevens struck out eight and gave up three hits to lead the Colts (17-10) in a win over the Rebels (5-20). Savana Decker was 2-for-2 with two doubles, Allyson Keefauver was 4-for-5 with a double and Hope Burke was 3-for-3 with two doubles for Thurston.

Class 4A Play-In

North Bend 2, Madras 1: The Bulldogs (21-5) defeated the visiting White Buffaloes (12-11).

Newport 6, Marshfield 5: The host Cubs (17-8) downed the Pirates (14-11).

Sweet Home 9, Hidden Valley 3: The Huskies (18-8) took down the visiting Mustangs (11-12).

Special District 3

North Douglas 9, Oakland 5; North Douglas 5, Oakland 4: Hope Morgan was 3-for-4 with an RBI to lead the Warriors (19-7, 14-4 SD3) to the first of two wins over the Oakers (17-7, 14-4). Joanna Alcantar had two RBIs to lead North Douglas  in game two.

Special District 5

Reedsport  16, Waldport 8: The Brave (16-6, 9-3) beat the host Irish (11-10, 6-6). 

Siletz Valley 23, Bandon 5: The Warriors (12-7, 5-7) defeated the Tigers (1-16, 1-11) at home.
