Kyle Tucker put the bat on the ball for three hits to lead Jackacuda’s/Brotula’s in a 31-29 win over HealthSource in the Coed Division IV Softball League at Morgan Sports Center.

Tucker hit two doubles and a single.

Jackacuda’s started strong scoring the 10-run limit in the first inning. At the end of three the game was tied up at 16-16.

Jackacuda’s had another big inning in the fourth, putting up another 10 runs. HealthSource answered with seven in the bottom half.

With time running out in the fifth, Jackacuda’s scored five and HealthSource finished up with six.

Matt Molina doubled and hit two singles for Jackacuda’s, while Emily McCarvell hit three singles.

Ryan Garcia was the big stick for HealthSource with a home run, two doubles and two singles. Dakota Blackburn doubled and hit three singles and Ryan Johnson doubled and hit two singles.

 

HOA’s 22, Navigators 17

The first four innings of play were close with Navigators holding an 11-10 lead.

In the top of the sixth, HOA’s got the advantage with three runs and then widened the gap even more in the top of the seventh with four runs. Navigators tied it up in the bottom of the seventh with six runs.

In extra innings, HOA’s scored five and then held Navigators scoreless.

Brandon Graves led HOA’s with a homer, triple, two doubles and a single. Lauren Wood hit three doubles and a single, and Robert McFarlane doubled and hit two singles.

Richard Ritnour led Navigators with two doubles and two singles. Bart Hardy connected for four singles and J.R. Gross doubled and hit two singles.
