Kenyon Yovan allowed two runs in seven innings and hit a two-run homer to lead Oregon to a 6-2 victory over Utah in a Pac-12 baseball game on Friday night at PK Park.

Yovan allowed six hits and walked six with two strikeouts to improve to 5-3. Parker Kelly, a high school teammate of Yovan's at Westview High in Beaverton, threw two scoreless innings for his third save.

After Utah (13-33, 6-16) took the lead with a run in the third inning, Oregon (23-24, 9-13) scored three times in the fourth, keyed by Yovan's home run. Jakob Goldfarb also walked to bring in a run.

Oregon added a run in the sixth when Nelson and Goldfarb led off with back-to-back singles and Kyle Kasser sacrificed Ryne Nelson home.

In the eighth, Spencer Steer doubled and Jonny DeLuca followed with a two-run homer to stretch the lead to 6-2.

Yovan and DeLuca had two hits apiece for the Ducks, who had nine hits overall. Oliver Dunn and Dominic Foscalina had two hits apiece for the Utes.

The teams continue their three-game series at 2 p.m. Saturday at PK Park.
