Our country was started by people who came to our country in the beginning as emigrants and were entrepreneurial in their thinking. They were capitalists, not socialists.
In all I have read over my lifetime of (83 years) there has never been a successful socialist country. They have all failed. Whoever is teaching these millennials and young impressionable kids that socialism is a good and fair way to live is really leading them astray. Socialism is a political system that denies the validity of property rights.
Instead, it claims that all property is communally owned. Thus it is controlled by the community and in the case of a garden, your neighbors could come over and take all the fruit and vegetables you worked so hard to raise. With that being the case there is no incentive to work; you might just as well live off the work of others. If you can’t keep what you work for, how can you ever get ahead?
We are coming to the midterms and will be voting in a few months, so you'd better know your candidates and what they stand for.
