If we’re going to continue moving forward as a society, we need to make it clearer that a misandrist and a feminist are two very different things. I’ve noticed that there is constant confusion between the two terms, which gives the feminist movement a bad name.

The Oxford dictionary defines feminism as “the advocacy of women’s rights on the grounds of the equality of the sexes.” The same dictionary defines a misandrist as “a person who dislikes, despises, or is strongly prejudiced against men.” It’s true that there are some extreme misandrists out there who are using the term "feminist" as a way to protect themselves and make their own personal vendetta against men seem valid. But we need to make it unambiguous that these people aren’t true feminists.
