Paul Ray Orr, 84, of Graceville, passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2016 at 4:40 p.m. in Geneva, Alabama.

He was born in Maysville, Oklahoma on Jan. 4, 1932, one of nine children raised by the late Minnie and Charlie Orr.

Paul served in the U.S. Air Force, and later worked for the Franklin County School District as a custodian and bus driver and helped coach the Apalachicola Sharks baseball team. He retired from a civilian post at Fort Rucker, Alabama, after 35 years as an air traffic controller.

He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Linda Millender Orr, of Graceville, five children, Phyllis Ann Orr, of Lynn Haven, Donna Joann Orr, of Apalachicola, Gordon Keith Orr, of Apalachicola, Karen Lynn Orr, of Panama City, and Cindi Jo Orr, of Graceville; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be at Kelly’s Funeral Home in Apalachicola on Wednesday, Sept. 7 from 9 to 11 a.m. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. at Carrabelle’s Evergreen Cemetery.
