Library youth plan Saturday talent show
Students from the Friends of the Franklin County Public Library TIGERS program are extending an invitation to anyone who would like to participate in a talent show on Saturday, Feb. 6 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Carrabelle City Complex auditorium.
If you dance, play an instrument, perform a magic act, write poetry, or draw, and would like to have a venue to showcase your special talent, please stop by the Library branches or the Apalachicola Program Center and pick up an application and guidelines. All ages are welcome to participate or to just come and enjoy the talents of neighbors, community members, children, and friends.
Included in the day’s festivities will be the very first public showing of “Kitville.” The unique clay animation filming project was created by the students of the Friends of the Franklin County Public Library’s KIT Program and made possible by a grant from the Community Classroom Consortium.
Light refreshments will be served, home-made desserts are welcome, and there will be awards and recognitions. Tickets are available at the door with a suggested fundraising donation of $2.
For more information and details, call Ms. Bonny at 697-9216.
