Dempsey named Sunshine State Scholar

Franklin County School is pleased to announce the selection of Jessica Dempsey as the 2011 Sunshine State Scholar.

Established in 1996, the Sunshine State Scholars originated as a science and math competition. Today it has matured into a program that recognizes each school district's top student in science, technology, engineering and math and provides opportunities for those scholars to meet with college, university, and industry leaders.

Jessica is invited along with her parents and a teacher from the school to come to Orlando for an awards presentation and recruitment fair. Jessica has invited Mrs. Virginia Dale Millender to attend.
