The Franklin County Cross Country Team attended Warrior Running Camp at  Young Harris College in North Georgia July 19 through 24th. The FCS students who participated were Simon Hodgson, Brian Barfield, Damien Freeman, Tommy Varner, and Makayla Varner with Coach KatiMorgan Hathcock.

The Franklin County cross country team got a huge boost Saturday morning, as its first ever Spritzer 5K race drew a strong inaugural field, as well as a nice chunk of change for the young program.

During their June 2 meeting, county commissioners voted unanimously to allow the Franklin County School cross-country team to hold a fundraising 5K race on St. George Island on Saturday, July 4, at 8:30 a.m.

At a festive dinner Tuesday night at Harry A’s on St. George Island, attended by about 100 people, the Seahawk baseball program paid tribute to the dedication of the many athletes that helped make it a success.
