Pugh to graduate summa cum laude from Bethune-Cookman
Mr. and Mrs. James Pugh, of Apalachicola, are proud to announce the graduation of their son, Mario Alexander Pugh, from Bethune-Cookman University on Saturday, May 8, 2010.
Pugh, a 2006 graduate of Apalachicola High School, will receive a bachelor of arts in music technology summa cum laude in commencement exercises beginning at 10 a.m. at the Ocean Front Center in Daytona Beach.
Pugh will graduate with highest honors, after earning a better than 3.8 grade point average and making the President’s List seven times.
Following graduation, Pugh plans to join a 50-city tour, with international outreach, by the gospel music group “The Anointed Pace Sisters” from Atlanta. He will play keyboard in the accompanying band, with the tour slated to begin in Nov. 2010.
Pugh is a member of the Love and Worship Center of Apalachicola, and his spiritual leaders are Apostle Shirley C. White and the late Bishop Daniel White, Pastors Temolynn and Bobby Wintons, and Pastors Anthony and Sheila Martin.
Pugh’s parents would like to express their thanks to Almighty God, to their son’s church family, and to all those in the community who invested their time and energy, support and prayers, on behalf of their son’s education. The Pugh family, parents James and Alma, son Michael and daughter Tanicia, are very grateful for, and humbled by, their son’s accomplishments.
