Last Saturday afternoon, many of us gathered at the First Assembly of God to celebrate the life of Frances Reynolds Brinkley. She was one of the great ladies of Carrabelle, and a lifelong friend of mine. We will miss her very much. Pray for Miss Frances ’ eternal peace and strength and comfort for the families.

When I got home from the funeral, there was a message on my answering machine. Another longtime friend had passed away. Charles Smith died Friday, Jan. 31. Pray for his eternal peace and for Carolyn and family. Charles will also be missed very much.

There will be no hamburgers Friday, Feb. 14 but we still have a place open for you and your sweetie at the Valentine’s Day steak dinner at Camp Gordon Johnston American Legion Post 82.
