St. James/Lanark Gumbo Cookoff
The fourth annual St. James/Lanark Volunteer Fire Department Charity Gumbo Cookoff will be held Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Lanark Village Boat Club and Marina, 2364 US Hwy. 98, Lanark Village. There is a $50 entry fee. The space is limited, so get your applications in ASAP.
Winners of this year’s competition will be sponsored at the 2013 World Championship Gumbo Cookoff in New Iberia, Lousiana.

“Coming Back to Jersey” by Panhandle Players
Friday, Nov. 9 through Sunday, Nov. 11 the Panhandle Players will present “Coming Back to Jersey,” a comedy by Carl L. Williams and directed by Megan Lamb at the Dixie Theatre. Tickets are $15. Backwoods, Knee-Slappin, Foot-Tappin, Apalach Bluegrass Jam!
