This calendar can help you see where your dollars are going day by day and then allow you to take steps to get a better handle on your spending habits. It takes tools and discipline to build a budget and to know where you monies go. This calendar is a wonderful first step.

In the future, the county extension office will offer classes related to many aspects of financial management and can offer one-on-one assistance with organizing personal finances. Please watch for further details on the opportunities by getting on the Extension contact list. Stop by the historic Coombs Armory in Apalachicola to obtain a calendar and get started with planning your financial future.

For more information concerning programming and services available through the extension office, visit www.franklin.ifas.ufl.edu or call 653-9337.

Carrabelle museum seeks volunteer help

The Carrabelle History Museum is in need of volunteers to host the open hours of the museum from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and especially on Saturday. Two or three hour shifts work well.

The museum also is building its files on local families and local places, and needs people to gather and organize what it has on specific topics.
