The film, winner of two Academy Awards, pays particular attention to the decision by Gen. Eisenhower, supreme commander of the Allied forces. This film is one in a series shown monthly toeducate museum visitors on the sacrifices made, for us, by the World War II generation.

Free popcorn will be served. Admission is by donation, and appreciated.


Full moon climb at lighthouse June 12

The June Full Moon Climb at the Cape St. George Lighthouse on St. George Island will be held on Thursday, June 12. The Sunset/Full Moon Climb will take place from 8 to 9:30 p.m. and will include light hors d'oeuvres and a sparkling cider toast to the full moon. Cost is $15 for the general public and $10 for members of the St. George Lighthouse Association.

The sun will set at 8:40 p.m. and the moon will rise at 8:17 p.m. on June 12.

After sunset, people are invited to climb to the top of the lighthouse for a breathtaking view of the full moon, as space and time permit. Cost is $10 for the general public and $5 for SGLA members.
