During Tuesday’s county meeting, County Planner Alan Pierce said engineering consultation firm Preble-Rish had inspected Pine St in Lanark Village for the placement of four-way stops at Pine and Parker, and Pine and Hefernan Drive. 

Engineer Clay Smallwood advised that it would be suitable for those intersections to become four-way stops. 

Pierce said the speed limit on all three roads is already 15 mph. 


Airport passes inspection with flying colors


At their April 15 meeting, Director of Administrative Services Alan Pierce told commissioners the Florida Department of Transportation inspected Apalachicola Regional Airport on May 10. The airport passed inspection with only minor notes said Pierce.
