She said the surface of the basketball court is also being damaged by skaters.

Commissioner Pinki Jackel said she spoke with Lighthouse Association spokesperson Terry Kemp about the problem. Jackel said Kemp plans to post signs forbidding the use of skateboards and bicycles in the park.

Jackel asked county attorney Michael Shuler if an ordinance was needed to ban equipment from the park.

Shuler said the first step was to post the signs. He said an ordinance could be enacted if signage was ineffective.


Two new four-way stops in Lanark

The county commission has voted unanimously to install two new stop signs in Lanark Village.
