Forecast: Driving will be hazardous

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning through Wednesday afternoon for the Florida Panhandle and Big Bend areas, and for South Georgia and Southeast Alabama.

A Wind Chill Advisory is also in effect through Wednesday morning for Southeast Alabama, the Florida Panhandle and Big Bend.

Sleet and freezing rain is spreading across Southeast Alabama, the Florida Panhandle and Southwest Georgia.

Freezing rain will spread southeastward during the night as temperatures fall below freezing, bringing a thin glaze of ice as far south as the Coastal Panhandle and Big Bend.

A brief period of sleet and snow is possible just before the precipitation ends.

Snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are possible nor5th of a line from Tufton to Blakely, Ga., to Defuniak Springs.

Elsewhere, the chance for snow will be lower, though a trace of snow is possible as far south as Tallahassee.
