The Franklin County Public Library has some fun and interesting activities coming up in January. All activities are open to the public and free of charge.

The Eastpoint branch will be starting off the new year with our first Cinema Day. Please come and join us for a showing of “Monster University” at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3. Parents with young children should plan to stay and watch the movie with their child.

Denise Williams will be teaching Yin Yoga at the Eastpoint branch at 4 p.m. on Tuesdays starting Jan. 7. This type of yoga is very gentle and available to all levels of yoga skills from beginner to advanced. If you have a yoga mat please bring it; otherwise, a large towel will work.

Marian Morris will be leading a special story time for the kids at the Carrabelle branch on Jan. 14 at 3 p.m.

Come by the library in Eastpoint and meet the St. George Island Quilters. They will be sharing their skills and enthusiasm for quilting Wednesday morning, Jan. 15 starting at 10 a.m.

Computer class with Carly is a great way to learn something new in the new year. She can help you with your tablets and readers or just help you with basic or advanced computer skills. Drop in between noon and 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21 in Eastpoint, or on Thursday, Jan. 23 in Carrabelle.

Both Eastpoint and Carrabelle branches have community meeting rooms that can be reserved. If you need a space for a meeting, please come by and talk to us.
