On Thursday, January 10, Habitat for Humanity hosted the Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce business after hours at the Grady Market.

The event was well attended. In photo above, Habitat Treasurer Donnie Gay, center, accepts a $1,000 donation from Ralph Roberson of the Roberson and Associates accounting firm. Others pictured, from left, are Don Ashley, Habitat Staffer Kayd Selden, Habitat Chair Pam Ashley, Gay, Roberson, Mark Edenfield of Roberson and Associates and Habitat board member Wayne Thomas.

Habitat is in the process of completing a two-story home in Eastpoint and has run into a snag. The roof is now complete and a crane is needed to lift it into place. The builders are hoping a local firm with the needed equipment will step forward and lend a hand, or an arm as the case may be. If you can help, call Pam Ashley at (850) 508-7002.
