A friend in need

Friends and family of the late Billy Ray Langley came together for a fish fry benefit Saturday at Taylor's Building Supply in Eastpoint to help raise money for his funeral expenses. The 15-year-old Franklin County High School student was buried Thursday, Nov. 20 in Eastpoint Cemetery, following funeral services at the Eastpoint Church of God, with youth pastor Scott Shiver officiating. Langley died Nov. 15 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville as the result of injuries sustained Nov. 10 when he touched a live electrical wire following a one-car accident on County Road 655, about a half-mile west of Eastpoint. - By David Adlerstein
