Clark earns Lively medical assistant certification
Brittany Clark, daughter of Michelle Clark, of Carrabelle, and Frederick Blocker, of Crawfordville, was among eight students to graduate on Dec. 16 from Lively Technical Center’s Medical Assisting program.
Principal Woody Hildebrandt spoke to the graduating class at the ceremony, held at the technical center’s main campus at 500 N. Appleyard Drive in Tallahassee.
A 2005 graduate of Carrabelle High School, Clark attended the one-year program, which is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program and is designed to prepare students for employment in various medical settings, such as a physician’s office, clinics and certain hospital settings.
This program prepares students to function in a medical office or clinical environment as a medical receptionist, administrative assistant, insurance coder/biller, phlebotomist, ECG technician, and as a back office clinical assistant/patient educator.
In addition to her course work, Clark completed a 160-hour externship in Wakulla County.
