SGI Lighthouse Association Donates Funds

                The St. George Island Lighthouse Association has agreed to donate $15,000 to repair playground equipment in the public park where the St. George Light now stands.

            The money is part of a grant intended to improve the landscaping and amenities of the park. The equipment, originally donated to the county, is in need of repairs due to weathering of metal used in its construction. It has been roped off for safety reasons for most of the summer. - By Lois Swoboda
