Emerald Waste Management announces rates

At the Aug. 19 meeting of the Franklin County Commission, County Attorney Michael Shuler told commissioners that Emerald Waste Management (EWM), which has purchased the contract for local trash pickup from Waste Management, has set its residential rates.
Once a week pickup will cost $18.97 per month, and twice-weekly pick-up will cost $36 per month.
EWM has not announced commercial rates. No information is available on when EWM will begin serving Franklin County.
