County Commissioner Ricky Jones on June 28 helps unload a car full of items collected by Tallahassee’s Council on Culture and Art (COCA) on behalf of Eastpoint fire victims and delivered to the Eastpoint Visitor Center. In collaboration with the Franklin County TDC a collection point was established at the COCA offices on Martin Luther King Blvd by Audra Pittman, executive director of COCA, and her staff. Transportation of donated items was provided by volunteers who took them to the Eastpoint Visitor Center where they were sorted for delivery to appropriate distribution centers in Eastpoint.

“The TDC’s collaboration with Leon County’s COCA has allowed the visitore center to participate as we can to help families recover,” said Jean Lane, manager of the center in Eastpoint.
