The Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners of its second annual Holiday Lights Contest.
The contest comprised two categories, Business and Home, and three geographic areas, Apalachicola, Eastpoint, and St. George Island.
Winners in Apalachicola, for business, was the Gibson Inn. The top home was that of Art and Bobbie Clough, 268 Hwy 98, who each year adorn a giant evergreen in their front yard.
On St. George Island, the business award went to the Island Dog Beach & Surf Shop, while the top home display was that of Joanna and Wesley McCall, at 408 and 423 North Sawyer Street
In Eastpoint, the top business was Ard's Service Station, at 407 Hwy 98. The award of homes was given to Pat and Jim McWhinnie, 251 Hwy 98.
The businesses and homes were selected by a panel of anonymous judges Dec. 15 to 20. Each winner received a small lawn banner to display with their decorations.
The contest was sponsored by Duke Energy and The Tin Shed. With these sponsors the chamber will produce a television commercial that will air on cable channels from Bay County to Leon County.
