Each week the Apalachicola Times presents Seahawk Artistry, a feature showcasing the creative endeavors of art students in the Seahawk Arts program at the Franklin County School in Eastpoint.

This week we showcase FCHS sophomore Summer Cepull, a student in the Creative Photography Course, for her “A Heart In An Unexpected Place.” The student photographer took this photo on a recent field photo field trip to Apalachicola. This photo is taken from inside a plant with a normal lens setting.

“When I am taking photos, I look for the perfect scene. I try to use different lighting and color filters, and I experiment with the various features on the camera,” said Summer. “I have been interested in photography a long time, ever since I started taking pictures with a flip phone. I like the element of surprise. I will take a photo and often times it comes out different than what I saw through the lens. I plan to have art as my minor and veterinary science as my major. I am saving up to purchase a 35 mm digital camera.”
