This Friday, Dec. 8 in Eastpoint, enjoy the sixth annual Christmas Celebration. The parade line up begins at 4 p.m. behind Sellers Plaza, and then at 4:30 p.m. runs down Highway 98, takes a right at Fisherman’s Choice and ends at the Eastpoint Pavilion where Santa will have yummy treats on hand and his helpers will give out toys and books to all the good little boys and girls. Photos will be taken or parents can bring their own cameras or phones to take Santa and Me photos. In case of rain Santa will be at the Eastpoint firehouse. Carrabelle's annual 5k Run/Walk Jingle Jog will be held at 8 a.m. this Saturday, Dec. 9. This fun run/walk begins and ends at the Franklin County Senior Center. All participants will get a yummy pancake breakfast after the race! Extra breakfast tickets will be available for $5 in advance. or at the door.
Santa will be a special guest at the Carrabelle Holiday on the Harbor Saturday, Dec. 9, from 2 to 9 p.m. in downtown Carrabelle. This year a street festival will feature children’s activities, vendors, live music and of course, the boat parade at dusk.
Kindle your holiday spirit at the Apalachicola Farmers Market this Saturday, Dec. 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. You'll find a wonderful assortment of holiday ornaments, glasswork, whimsical crafts, and original art by locally recognized artists, craftsmen and photographers, along with fresh produce, just out-of-the-oven breads, seafood, and sweet treats. Enjoy live Irish tunes by the fabulous "Celtic on the Halfshell," at the Mill Pond Pavilion at Scipio Creek.
Eastpoint’s First Baptist Church will host a Community Christmas Bash on Sunday, Dec. 17 beginning at 4 p.m. There will be plenty of gifts, food, and the retelling of the birth of Jesus. Community is welcome.
